“Horses Never Lie about Love: The Heartwarming Story of a Remarkable Horse Who Changed the World around Her” by Jana Harris
I loved this book! Horses Never Lie About Love by Jana Harris is one of those “I don’t want to put this down” books for me. The true story is about a couple of horse-loving people who discover that relationships between horses and their people go far beyond that of “ownership.” Harris is a poet and writer by trade, so perhaps that accounts for the silky readability, but the compelling spirit of the main character, True Colors, is what stayed with me weeks after finishing the book. True, I’ve been in a horsey-book mood lately, so I really enjoyed Eighty-Dollar Champion by Elizabeth Letts as well, but Harris’s book about True Colors is on my all-time favorites list.
